THE EAGLES ! ‘One Of These Nights’ – Number One Single 40 Years Ago…

40 Years ago today (August 2, 1975) country/folk rockers The Eagles hit the number one spot of the US Billboard Hot 100 – the singles chart – with the title track of their million-selling classic album ‘One Of These Nights’

It was the legendary L.A. band’s fourth album. The last one with guitarist Bernie Leadon. Multi-instrumentalist, singer/songwriter and brilliant rock guitarist Joe Walsh replaced him
later when the recordings of that timeless magnus opus ‘Hotel California‘ started.
‘One Of These Nights’ was/is a vintage moody The Eagles song with a title that millions of people then and now pronounce(d) at least once without referring in any way to that mega hit. The band is still touring but you need a fortune to see them in action. Long Live YouTube ! Here’s a cool ‘One Of These Nights’ rendition (already with Joe Walsh) from 1977…
