Hard to believe that this is only the second album from one of my most favorite bands on the planet. Since the spring of 2012 , I have been extolling the collective genius of Becca and Duncan otherwise know as..The Creeping Ivies. The idea that they haven’t been sought out by the likes of Burger Records, or Goner, or Ample Play or for that matter anyone who isn’t willing to front the bill for their first US Tour is beyond me. If you mixed Johnny Thunders with Bo Diddley and then mixed The Ramones with the Cramps and then added some of the coolest vocals ever, well there you go. I know that The Creeping Ivies aren’t too big on anyone classifying or categorizing their music so I’ll leave that for others to do , all I ask of you is give them a listen, you can start with this new album. This Band is the shit…..and that’s what Joey Ramone would do…
