Table Scraps Drop a Sinister New Track – My Obsession

Hell yeah! Birmingham’s Table Scraps, once a duo now a trio and one of my favorite bands at the moment have dropped a new single – “My Obsession”. They released their debut – More Time For Strangers way back in 2015 and seriously, that CD is still in my car!

T-Scraps play noisy garage rock for sure, but what sets them apart for me is the sinister riffology, part punk, part garage, part metal.

My Obsession isn’t a deviation from that formula; it’s a fierce, pounding ominous track with hints of Bleach-era Nirvana and the post-hardcore of The Jesus Lizard or Big Black. It is released as a split with the mysterious garage blues duo Black Mekon as part of their 45 Consortium project and comes complete with 3D glasses.

I cannot wait for a new album and am crossing my fingers for a North American jaunt(?)
