Record of the Day…The Whistling Song by Electric Healing Sound

EHS

Based in Tijuana, B.C, MX by way of San Diego, Electric Healing Sound, in their own words, play rock and roll that will cleanse the soul.

Formed in 2010 EHS are heavily influenced by 50s rock and roll, 60’s garage rock as well as late 80’s indie rock noise.

The band’s fabulous debut album “Tangled Up” was released July, 2012 and another full length could be on the way this fall.

The Whistling Song is being released as a cassette single on Iowa record label Workerbee Records. The song rambles with the fuzz of The Velvet Underground’s White Light/White Heat and the buzz of Psychocandy era Jesus and Mary Chain. Great stuff!

Domestic now, but spent early to late 80s playing drums in a hair metal band in Toronto. Since then I've lost the hair and have found new ways to scratch the rock and roll itch.
