what a cool way to start a Saturday morning, 2 new garage punk hits from 2 bands that I covered for last years Gonerfest. It’s the power of music that unites us all no matter what oceans or lands separate us . and like I’ve said a thousand times, one of the thrills of posting here at 50thirdand3rd is being able to bring you music made possible by connections that have come about over time. So like one of my favorite bands said many years ago ….KICK IT…
The new split 7” between Wet Ones (Kansas City) and Kit Convict & Thee Terrible Two (Melbourne), courtesy of Convicted Records. Both rotting in the sewers of garage punk, they came up with the split vinyl idea last year when they both played Gonerfest in Memphis, where they bonded over the smashing of 40 Krystal burgers and desecrating a tour van.
Wet Ones – “Get Me Out of Here”
A track that blisters and spits garage punk – designed to cause
massive offense. These guys just released a debut album on
Slovenly Recordings and are so fucked they shouldn’t exist.
Kit Convict & Thee Terrible Two – “Neanderthal”
This is garage punk played by the raw bleeding fists of cavemen.
Primal and minimal, a taste from upcoming album ‘Cobra’s Blood’.
