Nippon Girls: Japanese Pop, Beat & Bossa Nova 1967-69

This week my boyfriend moved 1,400 miles from Detroit to Austin so we could finally cohabitate, and with him he brought along his record collection, which tops 18 boxes. Over the next several months I’m looking forward to digging through them all.

Today we’re moving boxes with the windows open, listening to a 60s all-girl Japanese pop compilation called Nippon Girls: Japanese Pop, Beat & Bossa Nova 1967-69, and it rocks.

It feels like the perfect soundtrack for gearing up for a summer full of love, music, sun, adventure.
