Soul Sunday: James Brown – Live at the Apollo “Try Me”

March, 1968

One of my favorite James Brown songs (originally from the 1959 album “James Brown And His Famous Flames”) with JB performing the song live in 1969 at the Apollo Theater.
JB had some of the best dance moves live on stage. I still hold my toothbrush and try to copy him in front of the mirror.

“Sometimes I feel like I’m a preacher as well, ’cause I can really get into an audience.”
