FLEETWOOD MAC started a second life back in 1975 with original British members Mick Fleetwood & John McVie plus American newcomers Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham
and British born Christine McVie. All three were eminent singer/songwriters. It would turn Fleetwood Mac II into one of the best and most famous classic rock bands ever. Forty years ago today – on 4 February 1977 – they released their second album titled RUMOURS. A magnificent and multi-sonic LP, although it dealt mostly with the broken relationships between band members. With the presence now of various gifted songwriters the record became a fabulous high quality work, striking in sound and composition, from catchy guitar pop with unforgettable choruses to gripping blues ballads and electrifying Americana rock. Rumours became a worldwide million seller.
Remember the first single of the album?
Here’s GO YOUR OWN WAY,
