Feral Ohms – Ferocious Untamed Wild Rock and Roll

The first thought that crossed my mind when the Feral Ohms track Love Damage came on my headphones was more or less: “Holy Shit! What is this?”

My second thought may have been “man, this sounds like vintage MC5 played by At The Drive In; it’s like classic Foghat on acid“. But at this point I’m making it up for this post.

Feral Ohms hail from Oakland and have been around since 2011. The trio is made up of music veterans Ethan Miller – guitar and vocals (Comets On Fire and Howlin’ Rain), drummer Chris Johnson (Drunk Horse), and bassist Josh Haynes (Nudity). They’ve released a bunch of singles and a live record to this point.

Love Damage is from their self-titled studio debut and it kicks out the jams alright, like a veritable tsunami of guitars. It’s insane how much this rocks.

Crank it up!
