These are a few of the songs that I can’t stop listening to. This album will make my top 10 for the year no doubt about that. For those not yet familiar with Shannon and the Clams…

from AllMusic: Shannon and the Clams   http://www.allmusic.com/artist/shannon-and-the-clams-mn0002362117

Channeling doo wop, Buddy Holly-like early rock rhythms, 1960s girl groups, and garage psych bands, with a dose of R&B, surf, and punk all thrown in, too, Oakland, California’s Shannon and the Clams are led by the woops, yelps, and impassioned, powerful vocals of bassist Shannon Shaw, with Cody Blanchard (vocals, guitar) and Ian Amberson (vocals, drums) rounding things out. Known for wild, off-kilter, and exciting live shows in the Bay Area (one reviewer described the band as sounding like “a brawling Etta James backed up by the 13th Floor Elevators singing Shangri-Las tunes…”), the group has released three albums, 2009’s I Wanna Go Home,  2011’s Sleep Talk, and 2013’s Dreams in the Rat House
