They call him “The Maestro”. He was a songwriter, guitarist and author. In early sixties he formed The Bossmen in Michigan and as the times changed, his music took a different direction and he formed The Frost. “Sunshine”, in my opinion, is a psychedelic rock masterpiece. Even to this day it sounds fresh to my ears.

Alice Cooper, Frank Sinatra, Etta James, Lou Reed, Ringo Starr, Aerosmith, Kiss, Peter Gabriel, Meat Loaf, Rod Stewart, Tina Turner, Air Supply, Guns & Roses, Tori Amos were some of the many he played guitar or wrote songs for. And nearly 50 years after his musical career started he passed away this week at the age of 71. Rest in Peace Dick Wagner (December 14, 1942 – July 30, 2014). I leave you with “You’re the Girl for Me” and “Sunshine”.
