Today we bring you, The Noble Krell. This comes from our good friends at Hidden Volume Records. I started working with Scott of Hidden Volume about a year ago and I’m here to tell you that his ability to pick the coolest bands to put out 45’s with, is up there with the very best in the business. Not to mention the kick ass art and superb production that goes into the making of each of these records. All are collectable material but more importantly they are all songs that demand to be on heavy rotation. The Noble Krell are making their debut with Hidden Volume with these two stellar tracks. Give a listen, if you love garage or psych or any combination of the two, you are going to love Noble Krell…..
The Noble Krell
And our sound might be best described as….
The Electric Prunes sitting in on a Byrds session at Abbey Road in late 1966.
We are originally from…..
Tucson, Arizona, which has a great garage-psych history with bands such as The Grodes, Dearly Beloved, Yard Trauma and Marshmallow Overcoat, etc.
some that have had an influence on our sound…..
’66 garage, Rickenbacker 12-string guitar, Vox amps and keyboards, the band Love, Syd Barrett, and all kinds of colorful sights and sounds through today.
what do you think about the state of rock ‘n’ roll in 2015……
Frank Zappa was wrong when he said, “Rock isn’t dead, it just smells funny.” It’s dead, Jim. We don’t care how many bearded hipsters buy a vinyl album at the mall to impress their frat brothers, we’re at an all-time low for real rock music.
The debut Noble Krell 45 is out now on Hidden Volume Records. You can hear it and buy it here and see more about the band at the Garage Nation page:
