Don’t know if I’ve ever compared any band to “Till Tuesday”, but wow, what a voice. Takes me back to those days, with that dreamy vibe thing going on, cool stuff indeed. Has a Byrds meets 90’s meets 2015 feel to it all, with a Female vocalist. The total experience reminds me of the days when you would buy an album for the “feel” , take it home and just get lost in the music where the problems of the outside world just had to wait. I highly recommend you taking some time out of your hectic lives and give a listen to Sapphire Road….

Can you tell us about the process you use, from writing the songs all the way through getting the songs out.
First I start with what’s in my mind. Then I manifest my thoughts into words on paper, kind of like a rythmical poem. The I begin with chords and a melody. It’s a process, but I suss it out and go with what feels right.
what are some of the challenges you face as musicians and how have you overcome those challenges.
When the time comes when you get overwhelmed with the normal struggles of life, family, relationships, work to not allow those things to make their way into the music. To realize that music in an escape and to let those things go and create new tunes with your best friends is something we have had to realize and over come in our band.

My youngest son is 13 and in a Band, what advice would you offer him…
To keep at it, you have an awesome start at your age. If music is something that makes you happy don’t ever stop playing. Life is about being happy and making memories and being in a band is the best way to do both. Its not always about fame and money but about the good times along the way.
your thoughts on the state of music in 2015…..
Music as in most days but especially in this day and age seems to be swayed a lot by culture and whats hip to listen to. Some may be into electronic music because of festivals like EDC while others are into country because of things like Stagecoach. We hope our music can break the barrier between all these and be something that everyone can listen to from the surf scene to hip hop, something that people will put on and feel the good vibes.
Our plans for the rest of 2015…..
Our plans for 2015 is to branch out. We hope to play more festivals, make new connections and get a tour going. We have been playing all over Orange County, LA and San diego but its time to bring our music across the nation to radio stations and bigger audiences.
listen to this excellent album..
