Bantam Lyons – Soaring Melancholic Shoegaze

What kind of music would you expect from a band based in the magnificent ancient city of Nantes, France who take their name from the Irish modernist James Joyce?

Bantam Lyons provide the answer to that question with “When Lips Turn Purple” a new track of soaring melancholic post-punk shoegaze.

The band is about to release a new UK only EP “Oh Cordelai!” to follow up their 2016 debut record Melatonin Spree.

Go sit in a dark room, put your headphones on and let Bantam Lyons take you away. Because as they say: “it is sometimes good to be a little unhappy.”

Domestic now, but spent early to late 80s playing drums in a hair metal band in Toronto. Since then I've lost the hair and have found new ways to scratch the rock and roll itch.
