angelic milk – lowercase lo-fi shoegazing dream pop

From St. Petersburg, Russia, angelic milk started in 2013 as a bedroom recording project of 15-year old Sarah Persephona.

A couple of EPs later she had a band and had caught the ear of Swedish label PNKSLM who released the super solid EP “Teenage Movie Soundtrack” last summer.

Just a warning, “Rebel Black” will be stuck in your head for days. It’s a dreamy, tortured teenage pop gem glowing with a 90s Belly/Lush vibe. It’s my new favorite song.

Nothing’s here I would miss
With my hair waving on the breeze
Somebody’s arm over my shoulder
And no use in having to grow older

Nothing’s here to make me stay
When the sun flares in an ashtray
And neon lights shine down right on me
Am I still young and finally free

A band to watch for sure.

Domestic now, but spent early to late 80s playing drums in a hair metal band in Toronto. Since then I've lost the hair and have found new ways to scratch the rock and roll itch.
