There’s a new swell of interest surrounding Dublin Electronic duo Analogue Wave following the launch of their debut, self released album ‘n.L.g.W.v.’ on Sept 27th.
Since BBC Radio played “Crawl” , the b-side of their debut single “Fingers” during the summer they have been featured extensively on Irish radio, with noted Irish DJ ,Dan Hegarty from the countries national broadcaster 2FM giving their album the title of album of the week on its release.
British newspaper The Guardian sighted Analogue Wave as one of five bands to watch in 2014 and The Irish Times music journalist Tony Clayton-Lea is quoted “Taking bits from Killing Joke,Lee Perry,Massive Attack and NIN, ‘n.L.g.W.v’ never strays from nicely weird and never outstays it’s welcome” on his review of their album.
Their second single taken from the album “Mezkal” is typical of the rest of the tracks on ‘n.L.g.W.v.’ As it grows and intertwines itself into your subconscious and grows on you from the inside. Soon enough you’ll be humming this song and many others from the album without realising .
There’s an edge of nostalgia to the album for anyone who adored good Electronic music in the 90’s with just the slightest hint of sounds from the era that swoop up and move on before you’ve noticed them, making the experience more memorable and requiring repeated listens to find them. Del delivers a vocal and lyrical performance that is thought provoking and suits Andew ‘Gint’ Syned’s production perfectly. There’s a welcome fusion of Dub Reggae and Rock added to their core Electronicsoind with sine truly beautiful guitar feels throughout the album.
‘.nL.g.W.v.’ Is available to buy from iTunes and a host of other online stores as well as Analogue Waves band camp page where you can also buy the album on CD.
This swirl of excitement brewing around Analogue Wave is growing ,catch them before it goes tidal.
