Denney And The Jets are from Nashville, and they know how to lay down some classic rock n roll riffs. A whole lot of Chuck Berry, Keith Richards inspired guitar licks and you know the sound. Can’t think of a better way to start a new week off then to put on some headphones while everyone else is still sleeping and jam to …Denny And The Jets.
Hi our name is….
Denney and the Jets
And our sound might be best described as….
I am originally from…..
I started Denney and the Jets in 2009 with an ever changing rag team of characters.
I knew I wanted to start a band when…
I just wanted to write songs and sing.
Before starting the band I was employed as…….
Mostly construction but now i work at a farm.
My craziest gig ever was….
A show in Chicago where my drummer at the time got wasted and my bass player had to knock him out.
The first song I wrote was…….
I don’t remember but it probably sucked.
What I am currently listening to….
Anything from Stax Records, George Jones and Lil Wayne.
A few albums we could never part with….
Otis Redding-Pain in my Heart
Rolling Stones-Exile on Main Street, Let it Bleed, Sticky Fingers
George Jones-Greatest Hits
Robert Johnston’s collection
For fun I like to…..
I can’t tell ya or I might get in trouble haha.
The one thing we want you to remember while your listening to us……
That Rock in Roll isn’t dead.
Expect….. Us to be hitting the road a lot to promote my new LP “Mexican Coke” which will be out in April through Burger Records and Limited Fanfare.
“Bye Bye Queenie” is the first single from Denney and The Jets’ Debut LP, “Mexican Coke” — out April 8, 2014 on Limited Fanfare/Burger Records.
Produced by Andrija Tokic (Alabama Shakes ‘Boys and Girls’) and Chris Denney. Backing Band and Co-Producers – Clear Plastic Masks (Serpents and Snakes/Dine Alone). Recorded and Mixed by Andrija Tokic at The Bomb Shelter in Nashville, TN. Mastered by Dan Coutant at Sun Room Audio in Cornwall, NY.
Denney and The Jets play an unbridled brand of hip-shakin’ Rock & Roll with heavy Soul and Country influences. The Nashville, TN-based band is steeped in its hometown’s institution of Country Music as much as it is a part of the new wave of young Nashville Rock bands with an enlightened view (and sound) of the future.
